It's impossible to see all of Scotland in a day, even if you want to! At HAGGiS we believe you shouldn't just see a country, you should experience it! Our trips are all about getting out there into our scenery, history and culture, well off the beaten track to discover what life as a Scot is really all about.

We'll show you Scotland's unique and beautiful landscape, enriched with tales of bloody battles, intrigue and romance, from our long and dramatic history. Our entertaining and informative guides share their knowledge with you to create a full and memorable experience.

A HAGGiS Highland Day Tour is also a wonderful opportunity to relax - leave your troubles behind and escape into another world. Our groups are small for maximum comfort and friendly atmosphere. Travelling in the safety of our Mercedes midi-coaches, you can just sit back, relax and let us take care of everything.

Good things should not be rushed, we set off early at 8.15am to fit as much in as possible. We stop regularly along the way, do short walks, take in historic and cultural sites, visit amazing attractions or maybe even choose a stunning location for a picnic lunch.

Tours are flexible and designed to adapt to weather conditions and you, the passenger. If at any time you want to stop for photographs or just soak up the sights, your guide will be happy to oblige.

Mountains, Lochs and Whisky!

We leave the city early and head for the Highlands to explore some of the best and least known areas of Scotland.

We'll visit the ancient fortress of Doune Castle and pay homage to the legendary Rob Roy MacGregor at Balquhidder - his final resting place. Experience Highland life at the wee village of Killin and wander along to the crashing Falls of Dochart.

Drive alongside beautiful Loch Tay, under the towering Ben Lawers mountain range and immerse yourself in the untouched scenery of Glen Lyon. History comes alive at the Fortingall stone circles and Neolithic cairn (the birthplace of Pontius Pilate...?)

What better way to end the day, than with a wee dram of the 'water of life' - Whisky tasting at the Glenturret Distillery (The Famous Grouse Experience!)

Finally, its over the magnificent Forth Road Bridge and back to Edinburgh.

Loch Lomond, Rob Roy and the Trossachs.

Leave the city and traffic behind and travel deep into Scotland's amazing scenery, history and culture. Experience the tranquil Highland mountain landscapes and magical forests.

After a brief stop for a refreshing cup of coffee, our passionate guide will relate the exciting tales of Scotland's national hero William Wallace, as we discover the impressive Wallace Monument, overlooking Stirling with its historic castle. Charge across the ancient battlefields of Stirling, as we tour the stunning scenery of the Trossachs - mountains, glens lochs and rivers.

Visit Loch Katrine (home to Rob Roy McGregor), hug a tree in the ancient Caledonian pine forests and trek part of the West Highland Way, on beautiful Loch Lomond side.

Travelling back to Edinburgh, explore Glen Finglas and the Highland gateway town of Callander.

LOCH NESS HUNTER DAY TOUR

Loch Ness, the Great Glen and Fort Augustus.

Loch Ness lies deep in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. The mysterious Loch Ness Monster has been seen throughout history - today you get your chance to hunt for Nessie.

Heading North we cross the silvery waters of the Firth of Forth, as your guide tells the gruesome tales surrounding the constructions of the century old iron rail bridge, spanning the river.

On then into the highlands by Pitlochry, though the narrow pass of Killiecrankie, over the Drumochter Pass and along the full length of picturesque Loch Laggan and into the Great Glen.

During lunch in Fort Augustus you have the option to take a boat trip on Loch Ness, visit the Clansman Centre or simply enjoy this beautiful highland village.

Then it is back along the Great Glen to Fort William, beneath the mighty Ben Nevis (Britain's highest mountain), through dramatic Glen Coe, over the haunting Rannoch moor, past the historic city of Stirling, and on to Edinburgh arriving in the evening.
