Please Note: that a vehicle group can have different vehicle types. Only a vehicle group can be reserved, not a certain vehicle within this group. The drop off time shown on the rental contract is binding. At this time the vehicle has to be returned clean inside and empty. It is not possible to do the inside cleaning in the depots. This has to be done in advance (e.g. at a gas station with vacuum cleaners). The rental ends in the moment we can do the drop off procedure with inside and outside check. If the drop off procedure can be done only after scheduled drop off time we will charge EUR 30 per commenced hour (up to the full daily rate). **German Law states that all children 12 years and under OR smaller than 1.50m is required to be in a child seat. For children from 6 to 12 years, a child booster seat may be sufficient if the safety belt suits them.

Driver Requirements:
The minimum age of the Hirer and all drivers is 21 years. Class 3 driving licence for all models. Class B for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of up to 3,500 kg and class C1 for vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of more than 3,500 kg. Drivers with class B and C1 licences must have held the licence for at least two years.

Client will have to show Passport & current driver's licence at pick up (must be original documents).

Service Fee:
The service fee includes: disinfection of the interior prior to rental and exterior cleaning after rental, first fill of camping gas and toilet chemical, basic camping equipment (water hose, long cable, adaptors, leveling wedges) and detailed explanation and demonstration of the vehicle.

Security Deposit:
The deductible amount for the fully and partially comprehensive insurance is € 1,500 per incident. Clients can purchase additional insurances to reduce the self liability from third-party insurances. But our insurance partner ERGO can only sell insurances to residents of the EU. Any additional insurance will not reduce the security deposit.

There is an additional security deposit of € 1,200 if the renter plans to visit one of the European festivals like Wacken, Rock am Ring, Ozora or similar. If the vehicle is returned in clean and proper condition, also this additional security deposit can be refunded.

The security deposit of EUR 1,500 has to be paid with Visa or MasterCard (no American Express, no Diners) when the client picks up the vehicle. The amount will be just reserved and the reservation is cancelled automatically after 30 days. In case of long time rentals (from 22 days on) the deposit will be charged from the card.

DRM cannot stand for changes in exchange rates during the rental or fees from the credit card company. Please note American Express / Diners credit cards are not accepted.

Damage costs will be charged from the security deposit. If the security deposit was really charged from the credit card, it will be refunded to client's credit card account by the DRM head office. This process can take up to 10-14 working days for organizational reasons.

Additional Information:
-  The renter has to show his passport and his current driver's license when he picks up the vehicle. Only original documents are accepted.
-  Vehicle supplied full of diesel - return with Full tank of diesel or DRM charge EUR 2.50 per litre to do this for you.
-  Insurance cover is voided for gross negligence eg. driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
-  Overhead and reversing damage (if you are not being guided), is not covered.
-  Vehicle must be checked and signed for at start of rental. The detailed explanation and demonstration on the use of the vehicle will take about 30 to 60 minutes. The explanation of the motorhome by our depot staff is only possible in German or English.

-  To avoid any potential problems please check for any pre-existing damage at start of rental and have it noted on the  contract.  When the vehicle is returned it will be checked for damage again.
-  If vehicle returned late a charge of EUR 30 per hour will be charged.
-  Maps or road maps cannot be supplied br DRM.
-  Transportation to and from the rental depots cannot be provided.
-  Taxi costs are not refundable

- Please note that Austria has a toll fee system for their highways for vehicles with more than 3.5 tons total permissible weight ("GO-box"). All vehicles of group E1 are already equipped with a GO-box. At drop off the road toll will be checked online and client has to pay the open amount with credit card or in cash. The open amount for road toll cannot be deducted from the deposit. For vehicles with less than 3.5 tons client has to buy a sticker for the windscreen at a gas station before he enters Austria.

- Our vehicles have to be returned at the time specified in the rental contract with same filling level of diesel tank as it was at pick up and full AdBlue tank. The vehicles also have to be returned in the same clean condition (inside and toilet) as they were delivered to the client. It is not possible for client to clean the vehicle inside only at drop off. The vehicle has to be ready for inspection by our staff at the specified time.

- In general client has to check himself the rules of road tolls and low-emmission zones for all countries he plans to visit. He has to stand for all fines resulting from ignoring the rules. Our vehicles have the green sticker for German low-emmission zones and the yellow sticker for French low-emmission zones.

Kitchen Set:
The kitchen set is for the booked persons and consists of: dishes, soup plates, coffee cups & saucers, salad bowl, small bowls, water glasses, knives, forks, soup spoons, teaspoons, wooden spoon, ladle, spatula, corkscrew, can opener, bread knife, cutting board, kitchen knife, coffee filter holder, thermos flask, pots and pan.

Interior Cleaning:
(Pre-Paid) - EUR 85 - Group M2 - * not valid for vehicle use for festival visits (like Wacken, Rock am Ring or similar)

Clients who live in Asia or Russia:
DRM requires that all clients have a good enough standard of English or German to understand the complete procedure of pick up / returning, the handling of the vehicle, the rules and regulations, the documents clients have to sign and communication when on the road.

If DRM feel the client does not understand English or German, they reserve the right to refuse to hand over the vehicle and there will be no refund.

Eastern Europe and Travel Restrictions:
A special authorization is needed if clients wish to travel to Eastern and some Southern European states. Client has to ask for this authorization at pick up (no extra charge).

The entry to the following countries is allowed without authorisation:
Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Finland, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

** The entry to the following countries is allowed only with authorisation: **
Albania, Bosnia-Herzegowina, Canary Islands, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, North-Macedonia, Malta, Poland, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia

The entry to the following countries is Forbidden:
Belarus, Bulgaria, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Moldova, Morocco, Romania, Russia, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey and Ukraine.

For countries not listed here please ask on request. Please note that it can be more difficult to get help in case of an accident or technical problems when clients travel to Northern Scandinavia, Eastern Europe or Non-European countries

Norway Road Toll System - "Autopass"
Clients have to register to this system online before they enter Norway. Unfortunately this registration is only possible after pick up of the vehicle. Please see here for more details 148kb

Saturday Pick Up and Drop Off
Pick up and Drop off on a Saturday is available between May and October.
A fee of EUR € 89 applied for each pick up and drop off on a Saturday.

- From January to April and November to December: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- From May to October: Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 9am to 11am
(only on request for a extra € 89 fee)

Pick up Hours:
January to April and November to December - Mon to Fri: 3pm to 4pm
May to October - Mon to Fri 3pm to 5pm, Saturday at 10am

Drop off Hours:

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.

Cancellation Fees:
Minimum cancellation fee is EUR 300.
