1. La Tomatina, Spain:

Who wouldn't have heard of the La Tomatina festival that pull thousands of people to Bunol on the last Wednesday of every August? It is celebrated in praise of Bunol's patron saint. Around 125,000 kilograms of tomatoes are used every year in La Tomatina.

2. Carnival:

Ever witnessed a live parade and live performances on the streets? No? Visit Tenerife, Cadiz, and Sitges that hosts some of the world famous carnivals in Spain. Be a part of the open street parties and have unlimited fun.

3. Las Fallas:

Las Fallas is celebrated in the month of March and it is the biggest fiesta that one cannot afford to miss. The fiesta lasts for four days where one can get to experience the carnival of huge papier-mache figurines, fireworks, performances, and bonfires.

4. Dia de Los Reyes Magos:

The Christmas gifts are exchanged on January 6th amongst the Spaniards. The gifts are exchanged to pay a tribute to the arrival of the three wise men to Bethlehem, bearing gifts for the baby Jesus. You will get to see cabalgatas and parades in almost every town in Spain. The three kings will walk through the streets and will throw candies to the children. Dia de Los Reyes Magos is one amongst the popular festivals in Spain that pulls a huge crowd.

5. Festa Mejor de Gracia:

This is an eight day festival and is celebrated in the month of August in Gracia, a town near Barcelona. A concert is organized and several outdoor activities for family & friends are carried out. The streets are decorated and there are several shops to offer you festival souvenirs.

6. Els Enfarinats:

Ever felt like throwing an egg on someone? Seeking for an event that would allow you to throw eggs for fun? Iba, a town in Spain hosts Els Enfariants on April 1st where hundreds of people gather together to throw eggs and flour at each other. And, what could be more fun than seeing people covered in eggs and flour.

7. La Raima:

Pobla del Duc hosts the grape harvest festival to reward the farmers for their efforts. Pick a handful of grapes and throw them at your target. Yes, it's time to get your hands little dirty. A grape fiesta is incomplete without some wine. Gulp down some wine from last year's harvest!

8. Wine Battle of Haro:

The Wine Battle Of Haro takes place in the town of Haro in La Rioja region of Spain. It is celebrated every year in the month of June. People gather for the procession at 9.00 AM to begin the wine celebration. If you are a wine connoisseur, it is time for you to take part in Wine Battle of Haro.

9. San Fermin:

It is carried out in the city of Pamplona on July 6. The most interesting event of San Fermin is the running of the bulls which attract a lot of spectators. It is also termed as encierro. The bull run is carried out from July 7 to July 14. Thousands of people run in front of the six bulls.

10. La Feria de Abril:

It is popularly known as the April Fair. The fairgrounds are decorated and one can see lights everywhere. The week-long celebration includes singing, dancing, trying out different cuisines, gulping down wine and socializing. You will see the attendants in Flamenco dress which is the traditional Andalusian Sevillanas dress. If you are free on the weekend, do not miss the La Feria De Abril.
