Marano (small town in the center of the Grado and Marano
lagoon) is another splendid communauty, already perfectly
coupled with Chioggia for their flourishing fishing activity.
The base is located only at 300 m of the historic center,
on an island/harbour joined to the earth by two bridges,
one for vehicles and another for walkers.
In
the North of the lagoon, in the heart of a preserved
nature, surrounded by forests Marano and its ancient
citadel hide, which shelters still today a community
of fishermen which kept local traditions very related
to the marine culture of Venice.
Take time to walk you to the natural reserve of the Stella
River and that of Valle Canal Novo, in the lagoon of
Marano: its natural ecosystem is single in Europe and
of an immense biological richness, which makes of them
a true oasis of fauna and flora.

(palate of XVème), the Church of Beata Vergine
della Salute, the Civic center with its permanent
archaeological exposure.
