The French Government allows Citroën to lease brand new vehicles to non-French residents free of all duties and taxes, to encourage Tourism in France. This ensures that you receive the best value for money available, much more competitive than hiring a car.

The minimum lease period is 30 days, with a maximum of 160-170 days depending on the pick up location. Once your lease period expires, you simply return the vehicle to your nominated delivery point or you can pay the difference between the full price, less the amount you have already paid in leasing payments, and keep the vehicle for export yourself.

ETG AUTO - Built on a 6-speed mechanical base and can function in either automatic or manually controlled modes (no clutch pedal). Fuel costs will be slightly lower than a traditional automatic and performance does differ - particularly in the first 2-3 gears.

AUTOMATIC - A traditional automatic (more powerful engine and smoother gear changing).

GPS - In-car GPS system, pre-set to English and includes all of ‘Western Europe’.

Citroen offers the security kit in all cars which includes a reflective jacket and triangle. If the kits are not returned with the vehicle, Citroen Champ de Mars will charge the client’s credit card EUR 25.

Travelling in Europe between November and March ?

Please note that most Renault, Peugeot and Citroen lease vehicles are fitted with Standard tyres before leaving the factory. Standard tyres are not suitable for all weather conditions. Between November and March (April in some countries) it is compulsory to fit winter tyres or carry chains. It is the clients responsibility to check the requirements for each country they intend to visit. It will be best to discuss your requirements with one of our consultants so we can advise you all the options.

All vehicles are fitted with standard tyres only. If you plan to drive during the winter months (Nov-Mar/Apr). If winter tyres and/or snow chains are required, it is your responsibility to obtain these (at your cost) and return the vehicle with its original tyres. For short term requirements this could make a rental car a better financial proposition. Please do not hesitate to discuss your requirements with one of our experienced consultants.

To Qualify for the Leasing Program you must

  • Reside outside the European Union
  • Stay in the European Union for no more than 185 days in any consecutive 12 month period
  • Not carry out any paid work whilst in the European Union
  • The minimum driver age is 18 years (no maximum driver age) and you must hold a valid driving licence recognised in the EU. If you hold a full Australian drivers licence, an International Drivers Permit (in conjunction with your Australian licence) is highly recommended (compulsory in some countries).
