High Speed and premier trains require seat reservations. To obtain seat reservations we highly recommend that you pre-purchase your seats as far in advance of your travel date as possible. Passholder seat reservations are limited.

• Residents of Europe, UK, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia are not eligible to purchase or use a Portugal Rail Pass.
• Passes must be validated within 6 months of issuing date by a railway official in Bulgaria.
• Passes must be validated prior to boarding first train/ first use of travel bonus.
• 7:00pm rule: if a direct overnight train starts after 7:00pm on a validated Bulgaria Rail Pass, the passholder must enter the next day's date on the pass, provided it falls within the validity of the pass.
• Seat reservation fees are an additional charge and not inclusive in the cost of the pass.

• Bulgaria Rail Passes must be presented for refund unused and not validated.
• A 25% cancellation fee plus GST (only in Australia) applies to totally unused passes returned within 6 months of issuing date.
• No partial refunds.
• The Bulgaria Rail Passes cannot be refunded or reissued if lost or stolen.
