Saturday
Pick Up and Drop Off:
Pick up and Drop off on a Saturday is available. A fee
of EUR € 81 applied for each pick up and drop off
on a Saturday. Depots are closed on Mondays, Sundays
and Public Holidays.

Pick Up - Tuesday to Friday: 3pm to 5pm (3.30pm to 5.00pm for Schiphol)
- Saturday: 3pm to 4pm (3.30pm to 5.00pm for Schiphol)
Drop Off - Tuesday to Friday: 9am to 11am (9am to 10am for Schiphol)
- Saturday:

Free vehicle parking at the depot - No Transfer from Airport to depot:
Rotterdam: 100 km
Amsterdam: 45 km
Hilversum: 35 km
Late & Early Dropoffs:
If
the vehicle is returned after the time that was agreed
in
writing, we charge € 45 for every extra hour or part
of an hour and pass on any claims for compensation
for damages that may be asserted by the next renter or
another person due to a late receipt of the vehicle.
If the vehicle is returned
before the expiration of the agreed rental period - there
is no refund for unused days unless the vehicle can be
rented to another party.
Drivers Age and Licence:
Minimum age is 23 years and you must have held a full drivers licence for a minimum of 3 years. No maximum age. For all vehicles over 3.5 tonnes, you are required to hold a licence that allows you to drive a vehicle over 3.5 tonnes. Please check vehicle weight and your licence.
Additional Drivers:
No Fee. Maximum of 2 drivers per vehicle.
Vehicle Age:
All vehicles are less than 3 years old.
Security
deposit / Refundable bond:
The security deposit of € 1,000 must be paid at
the start of a rental.
Refunded if the vehicle is returned in a proper condition and after the final
settlement of the rental contract by McRent HQ. Accepted credit cards are Mastercard & Visa.
Liability and Comprehensive Insurance Protection:
The renter bears the costs of any damage that occurs
during the rental period while using the vehicle
in accordance with the contract up to € 1,000
per damage.
If the damage is caused by
intent or gross negligence, especially if the renter was
unable to drive due to the consumption of drugs or alcohol,
the liability limitation does not apply. The same applies
to any damage caused by not observing traffic sign 265
(maximum vehicle height on a road). Despite the agreed
limitation of liability, the renter is moreover fully liable
for any damage caused by failure to observe the vehicle
dimensions (vehicle height and width), by improper loading
and unloading and by the load or by driving backwards without
being directed.
The renter is liable for
any damages claimed by a third party against him/her or
against McRent that the renter has caused to a third party
during the use of the object of rental. The renter is liable
for all fees, levies, fines, and punishments that are imposed
on the lessor in connection with the use of the vehicle
unless they are caused by fault of the lessor.
Vehicle
Return:
Vehicle
must be returned clean
or a cleaning fee of
EUR 122 will apply.
If toilet is not emptied
a fee of EUR 166 will
apply
Authorised Drivers:
The vehicle may only be driven by the renter himself / herself and by the driver
specified in the rental contract.
Substitute Vehicle:
In case the reserved vehicle cannot be made available at the rental station,
the lessor reserves the right to provide a vehicle that is comparable in
size and equipment or bigger. That will not cause any additional rental costs
for the renter. If a smaller vehicle is offered and accepted by the renter,
the price difference of both vehicles is reimbursed. If the provision of
a bigger vehicle causes higher ancillary costs, such as ferry charges and
tolls or operating costs, such costs are to be borne by the renter.
Trips
Abroad:
It is possible to make trips abroad within Europe. Any trips to East European
countries are subject to the lessor's prior approval. Trips to any war and
unstable zones are forbidden.

Shortening of Rental Period:
If a renter shortens their hire period by more than a week - it may be treated as a cancellation of the whole booking and a re-booking. This depends on when the amendment takes place and how many days of hire are being cancelled. Please ensure you always have travel insurance in place.
