What is the shortest term for reserving the Motorhome ?

Generally, we do not want to deprive you of 14 days of anticipations; but if you want to start earlier nevertheless, we ask you to get directly into contact with the respective station.

Can I have a look at the vehicle at the rental station before ?
Of course our colleagues at the station are ready to combine an appropriate appointment with you. Please combine a visit with the station in advance so that the provision of the desired vehicle group can be ensured. Depending on the season, our vehicle fleet is almost completely on "holiday".

What are the age and driving license requirements for the rental of a Motorhome ?
For vehicles with a total permissible weight of less than 3,500 kg (Active, Family, Exclusive Classic, Extra), the minimum age is 21 years and the driver must have been in possession of the driving licence for at least one year. For vehicles of more than 3,500 kg (Exclusive First, Premium), the minimum age is 25 years and the driver must have been in possession of the driving licence for at least 3 years.

Is it possible to register additional driver ?
You can have further additional drivers registered free of charge at the station on the day of collection. Please keep in mind, that the hirer assumes liability for the additional drivers.

Is there a minimum rental period for renting a Motorhome ?
Yes, depending on the respective season, we have a minimum rental period of 7 to 14 days. A rental for a period shorter than the minimum rental period is possible in coordination with the rental station when there are appropriate capacities available during booking gaps.

To which countries can I drive ?
Trips abroad within Europe are possible. Trips to Eastern Europe and countries outside Europe are subject to the prior approval of the rental firm. Trips to areas affected by war or crisis are prohibited.

What should I take into account for the day of collection ?
We recommend you a relaxed start into your holiday. Our handing-over takes place in the afternoon and takes about 1 hour for the fomalities and the introduction to your personal mobile apartment. Use this day of collection for a professional introduction to the vehicle and plan some additional time for arranging yourself in the motorhome without any stress. On the next day, you can start your holiday trip after a good rest. For your own safety and that of your travel companions, we strongly advise you against driving long distances in the road traffic still on the day of collection. In particular when travelling with children, this must be taken very seriously.

Where can I collect my Motorhome ?
The handing over of and the introduction to your vehicle take place at the respective station. We do not offer any collection outside the stations.

Can I park my vehicle at the rental station during the rental period ?
Please ask your respective station directly. In part you can park your passenger car directly at the station during the rental period, in part the colleague at the station is ready to recommend a suitable place to park to you.

What are the cleaning arrangements ?
On the day of collection, you receive the motorhome in a cleaned condition inside and outside. Upon return, the interior of the motorhome must have been cleaned; cleaning of the outside is done by the rental station. In case the cleaning of the interior must be corrected completely or in part, the costs of cleaning will be invoiced to you. For emptying the waste water tanks or the cassette toilet, there is respectively charged a separate lump-sum cleaning fee of 180.00. Please note that respective costs shall be directly paid at the station.

What are the rules for travelling with pets ?
Pets may only be carried along in agreement with the station. Please be aware that, upon return, the vehicle must have the same degree of cleanliness as in a return without pet. Otherwise, travelling with pets may cause higher and additional cleaning costs. Of course, the hirer is responsible himself/herself for the safe transport of the pets in line with the regulations just like for observing any entry restrictions as well as vaccinations.

Whats the difference between a trailer and a Motorhome:
Our motorhomes that are also designated as motorcaravans are self-propelled units. They have an independent motorisation and a body or superstructure equipped for living. Trailers that are also designated as caravans are trailers that cannot independently drive and therefore need a tow car. Unfortunately, we do not hire out trailers.

How can I get informed about the station network of rent easy ?
Via our menu item "Locations", you will get the contact information, opening, collection and return hours as well as further information of the stations. Under this menu item, you can also use our station finder to find the nearest station.

Renting from "private" ?
Renting a motorhome from a private person for a charge is a commercial activity and subject to appropriate registration. Renting from "private" in this sense is not possible. When renting a motorhome, make sure that the vehicle documents contain the explicit registration as a "self-drive rental vehicle". If you drive a vehicle without this explicit kind of registration, you will not enjoy any insurance cover.

What to do in the event of an accident or damage ?
In the event of an accident, you are obliged to fully complete the damage report form provided in the vehicle. If there should have occurred a fire, theft, damage caused by game or any other damage, the police as well as the rental station must be notifid. The rental station must be informed in detail about the circumstances of the accident. Claims for damages of other parties involved in the accident must not be recognized.

What is the fuel consumption of a Motorhome ?
Depending on the kind of the vehicle group you have booked, the average consumption is between 9 - 16 L/100 km.

How and where can I get gas on the way ?
On the day of collection, you receive two 11 kg gas cylinders: one full cylinder and one half-filled cylinder. Both fillings are included in the rental price and the cylinders may be returned empty. You can have the gas cylinders filled at many petrol stations, camping shops, DIY markets and at most camping sites. Since in most of the cases of a "filling", your empty cylinder is exchanged for an already filled cylinder, we ask you make sure - especially abroad - that you will bring back cylinders with the same connections as the ones you received upon collection.

What about water supply ?
Our vehicles are equipped with a fresh-water tank of 100 - 190 L and a waste-water tank of 100 - 150 L. Many petrol stations, camping sites and pitches offer you the possibility to refill your fresh water and evacuate the waste water. In most of the cases, they only charge a small fee for refilling fresh water/evacuating waste water.

Are the vehicles eqipped with ABS ?
Yes the whole fleet of rent easy is equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

What about power supply ?
You can only use 230 V when the vehicle is externally connected to 230 V for example at a camping site. Respective adapter cables as well as a cable drum are included in the rental price. While driving or without an external connection, the electronic system works with an additional 12 V battery in the superstructure.

How is the rental price calculated in case of an overlapping of sessions?
When your rental period overlaps different seasons, the rental days are exactly calculated according to the respective season.

Do I have to pay a security deposit uopn collectionof the Motorhome ?
On the day of collection at the latest, a security deposit of 1,500 must have been received by the station. You can either transfer it in advance or provide it on the day of collection (no cash payment). If the security deposit shall be provided by credit card, hirer and credit card owner must be identical. The station is under the obligation not to hand the vehicle over before the security deposit has been received to the full amount.

Is it possible to change bookings ?
Until 30 days before the originally agreed start of rental, you may a single time choose a vehicle from another vehicle group - as far as respective free capacities are available -, provided this does not reduce the total rental charge. In such case, a handling fee in an amount of 50 per change in the booking is charged.

What costs are incurred in case of cancellation ?
In case of cancellation of a binding booking, the following cancellation fees will be charged:

  • until 61 days before the start of rental, 30% of the rental price.
  • between 60 and 31 days before the start of rental, 50% of the rental price
  • less than 30 days before the start of rental, 85% of the rental price
  • on the day of collection or in case of non-collection, 95% of the rental price
